A Message to Dental Patients from Evergreen Family Dentistry, Spruce Grove:
How our world has turned upside down!
The emergence of the Covid 19 Pandemic has presented us with increasing challenges . . . it has brought grief to some, financial difficulties to most, and tremendous changes to the lives of all.
We pray that you and your families are well and successfully toughing this out!
Evergreen Family Dentistry continues to offer needed emergency dental care; we do so, not only to provide you with relief, but also to help reduce the number of patients showing up in emergency rooms with dental problems that take up valuable hospital time and resources.
Our dedicated dental professionals remain available to deal with your dental emergencies, defined by our college and provincial authorities as uncontrollable pain, serious infection, and facial trauma. Their expressed intent for restricting dental treatment to emergency care only is to facilitate social distancing and help prevent people from contracting the coronavirus.
Our stringent infection prevention controls have been bolstered by:
Comprehensive telephone pre-screening of patients and those accompanying them;
Comprehensive in-person screening of all staff, patients and visitors;
Augmented cleaning of the waiting room, examination and treatment rooms and other areas of the office;
Limiting access to our waiting room, examination and treatment rooms;
Maintaining social distancing in the waiting room and throughout the clinic;
The use of enhanced personal protective equipment, (PPE).
By respecting social distancing and self-isolation rules, we all do our bit to reduce the spread of the Covid 19 virus to our families, friends and community and, as importantly, to our heroes, our hospital care staffs, first responders, and essential workers.
